Iris Nation Internship

details

Date: May 2010
Clients: Quite a few
Agency: Iris Nation

introduction

The final module of the IAD course at Hyper Island was to find and (obviously) complete an internship. I applied to Iris Nation and the role they offered me, and their desire to throw me in the deep end with some big name clients, was just what I was looking for.

my role

I worked as a digital creative, developing concepts and designs for pitches and a range of client work.

my desk

This has been my home away from home for the last few months. It's where the magic gets drawn or typed up - but it usually happens brainstorming in a project war room or chatting over a drink in the pub.

2012 mascots

Getting to work with the 2012 mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville, was a truly unique opportunity. Being a creative on the digital pitch to bring their journey to the Olympic and Paralympic games to life
was a fantastic experience. Made all the better by winning it!

rice krispie squares

The type of pitch you want to work on. Generating ideas around a simple and fun product with no restrictions on output. 3 concepts were presented to the client that I'm proud to have been part of, so fingers crossed they can get tested for real.

great clients

I picked out the two projects I spent most of my time on, but I've been lucky enough to work with these great clients too.
